About me

As a child I aspired to become a journalist: always learning new things and interested to meet people. This was driven by a sincere curiosity to understand things and people.

Almost 20 years later I am still not a journalist but the broad interest and the love for people and their story  is still there.

​​

In recent years I have worked in Flemish SMEs as well as in multinationals and this in  diverse sectors.  TV over IP, mobile subscriptions, tufted carpet, car accessories, projectors, laboratory gases, wellbeing services,... all have no secrets for me. I can easily dive into a company and master a sector very quickly.

​

The common thread in my professional career is marketing: the love for the customer, what drives him, what are his needs and how you as a company can respond to this.  Over the years I have had the opportunity to contribute in different ways and in different aspects of marketing. Just to name a few:

• from idea to business requirements and business cases and guide go to market for products such as a TV app, protective material for cars, predictive coaching app,

• develop a portfolio and roadmap such as new mobile telephony bundles, a reintegration portfolio for ill employees, car accessories

• Setting up and developing an ecosystem with partners such as brokers and banks, including a 360° marketing plan,

• product launch of a virtual classroom,

• a 360° communication campaign on projection mapping

• a moving showroom throughout Europe,

• Start up product and segment management from scratch,

• .....

Yes, I like to create things, even from scratch.  Of course I am not doing this alone. As a bridge builder, I think it is important to be able to work with a team of experts and ensure that everyone is aligned on the objectives.  This is the best guarantee that everyone contributes to the success of the company.

Throughout my career I have also experienced  that (self) leadership is crucial for personal growth. I sincerely believe that people have much more to offer than they think. In order to trigger this potential more, I followed the training "Inspiring coaching (Jef Clément)".  It's fascinating to see that by listening and asking the right questions  someone can rise above his own ability.

It's the passion  for  marketing and coaching that made me decide to bundle both of these in my own company, Straightforward Solutions.
